Challenging week!

This week I had an emergency. I had a surgery where my gallbladder was removed because I had gallstones. I am in a lot of pain because this week I realized that I also have a gastric ulcer. I am a good student and I tried to give my best. This week I learned a lot about Tom Monaghan. No one can say that achieving dreams is impossible. Everything is possible but we need to work hard. Dreaming is easy but becoming our dreams true will really prove our desire to accomplish them. I admire Tom Monaghan because after becoming rich he decided to devote his life to serving others. Even though he is not a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints he followed the teachings of Jesus Christ the we found in Jacob 2: 18-19 “But before ye seek for riches, seek ye for the kingdom of God. And after ye have obtained a hope in Christ ye shall obtain riches, if ye seek them; and ye will seek them for the intent to do good—to clothe the naked, and to feed the hungry, and to liberate the captive, and administer relief to the sick and the afflicted.” He also did what the rich young boy couldn’t do in the bible. He left his riches behind and followed Christ.

I also learned that it is good to have different ways of thinking and different skills in a group. I always thought that the best working groups were those where the people had similar ways of thinking, because there was no conflict and things could be solved easily and in a good and happy environment. This week really opened my eyes and helped me understand why diversity works in a team that want to solve problems or find different solutions.

Last thing... this week I discuss with my classmates ideas to reach our $100.00 challenge. I realized that if we think negative any good idea will be impossible to make. We need to have a positive thinking in order to achieve our goals.
